“GAZ” Might Launch Manufacturing Have Got Full-Scale Production of Opel Vehicles Up and Running in 9 Month

As it was informed by “GAZ Group” press-service, as its member, The Gorki automobile factory ( GAZ, Nizhniy Novgorod) might have got full-scale production of Opel vehicles up and running within nine months if the consortium which is intended to obtain Opel, makes a decision on automobiles being manufactured in the city of Nizhniy Novgorod. Earlier the head of the Savings Bank of Russia Mr. Herman Gref had informed that the final decision on Opel transfer which is one of the largest German automakers, from American corporation General Motors to Austrian-Canadian enterprise Magna would be accepted within several weeks. In this bargain Magna has pool interests with the Russian partners - the Savings Bank and “GAZ Group”. In the press-service of “GAZ Group” they say, that the group is an industrial partner of a consortium.
