The Foreign Trade Turnover of Russia Has Shrunk by a Half

The foreign trade turnover of the Russian Federation in the first quarter of the year 2009 shrank by 44, 7 % in comparison with January-March, 2008. As it was informed on Wednesday, May, 6th, the turnover was $90, 4 billion.
Export surplus as positive ($ 23,4 billion) however it has shrunk by 30,3 billions in comparison with the last year.
The reduction of pecuniary valuation of the Russian export at the beginning of the current year has occurred because of the real decrease in deliveries as well as owing to drop quotation of goods. Export unit value in January-March, 2009 amounted to 55, 8 % of their ration in January-March, 2008 whereas the quantum index decreased less and was amounted to 85,9 %.
