Three More American Banks Have not Gone Through So Called "Stress-test"

As it is informed for the whole year 2008 when financial crisis burst, 25 American banks, including such giants, as Lehman Brothers and Bear Stearns failed and thus caused a panic in the world markets.

On Friday two regional banks - America West Bank in the state of Utah and Citizens Community Bank in New Jersey were closed by the regulator. However the real impact for insurance fund and bank sector became closing of Silverton Bank with headquarters in Atlanta which worked only with banks, not serving individuals. According data up to May, 1st this bank had assets of 4, 1 billion dollars, deposits ratio was 3, 3 billion dollars.

Silverton Bank became the fourth largest for the insurer American bank that petered out since the beginning of recession. The bank has not gone through so-called "stress-test" during which regulators are intended to define, which capital investments and of what size are necessary for support of the USA bank system. It was supposed, that results of the "stress-test" would be declared on May, 4th, however the government has adjourned this market expected event till May, 7th.
