“Ford” gave no guarantee to the employees

The trade union of the plant gave the demands to the administrative personnel in the middle of April. They narrow down to four major points: to fix the mechanism of the rise in employees’ salary in the collective agreement according to the inflation rate, job security, to fix the  the entitlement payments in the labor contract and to guarantee trade union activity on the plant.

“The demands were considered by the administrative personnel, but currently they can’t be met, announced the head of PR department of Ford Russia Ekaterina Kulinenko, that’s why the administration rejected the demands. We were ready to sending our representatives in grievance committee according to the labor laws”. It’s worth mentioning that at the end of March the administrative personnel of the plant introduced the employees to the order of switching to the four working day week from June 8 to October 5.

The trade union counted that it will cause 20 percent decrease of their salary, which now on the average amounts to 27 thousand roubles and addressed a complaint to the procuracy and the State Labour Inspectorate.  “Ford” plant was opened in June 2002 in Vsevolozsk. The enterprise is producing Ford Focus and Ford Mondeo cars. About 2 thousand people are working on the plant.
