ZAO Raiffeisenbank is a subsidiary of Raiffeisen International Bank-Holding AG.The Bank has been operating in Russia since 1996 and offers a full range of services to retail and corporate customers, both resident and non-resident, in roubles and foreign currencies. The Bank’s activities are supervised by the Moscow territorial department of the Bank of Russia. Raiffeisenbank is ranking 9th in terms of assets, 6th in terms of private deposits and 6th in consumer lending among the Russian banks based on 2008 results (Interfax-CEA).
In 2006 Raiffeisen International Banking Group purchased 100% shares in OAO Impexbank, and on 23 November 2007, the legal merger between Impexbank and Raiffeisenbank Austria was successfully completed. ZAO Raiffeisenbank now operates over 233 branches in 45 regions of Russia, servicing approximately 1 500 000 retail customers, almost 10 000 large corporate clients, and over 46 000 small and medium enterprises from Kalinigrad to Kamchatka. The Bank also operates three subsidiaries: Raiffeisen Capital Asset Management, the Raiffeisen Private Pension Fund, and a Leasing Company, all of which have consistently posted excellent results.
ZAO Raiffeisenbank, which aims to strengthen its position as one of the leading universal bank in the region, is regarded as one of the most reliable banks in Russia by the ratings agencies: Moody`s Interfax Rating Agency assigned the Aaa.ru long-term national credit rating to Raiffeisenbank and a short-term rating of RUS-1. Moody`s Investors Service assigned the following ratings to the Bank: D for Financial Strength, Baa1 for long-term and Prime-2 for short-term foreign currency deposit ratings. Fitch Ratings assigned Long-term Issuer Default ’BBB+’(Negative Outlook) , Short-term ’F2’, Support ’2’, Individual ’C/D’ and National Long-term ’AAA(rus)’(Stable Outlook) to Raiffeisenbank.
